Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Instructor, Power to deliver comprehensive training on UPS, power distribution, and monitoring systems to field technicians, customers, and service partners. The role involves creating course materials, maintaining labs, and conducting classroom and virtual sessions, with travel required.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical fields, and strong communication and adult-learning skills to support

Qualifications

• Two year electrical/electronic technical degree or equivalent training/field experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on electrical/mechanical installation, commissioning, or field service.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems including switchgear.
• Excellent written & verbal communication with presentation skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory or military trainer experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct safety and technical classes on UPS, power distribution and monitoring systems.
• Prepare classrooms and lab areas; deliver in-person and virtual training.
• Create relevant course materials and update based on feedback.
• Maintain training lab equipment and keep safety guidelines.
• Contribute to product development efforts and conduct needs analyses.
• Travel up to 10% for training and evaluations.
