Job summary

Eaton seeks a Project Manager - Power Systems to lead turnkey electrical upgrade projects across electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical scopes. Remote-based within the U.S. states listed, travel up to 25%, and a company vehicle is provided to support customer needs.

You will guide teams of designers, engineers, MEP contractors, and suppliers from initiation through delivery. The role emphasizes managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years PM experience; or Associate with 10+ years; or HS diploma with 15+ years.
• 5+ years managing electrical power distribution, switchgear, automation, controls, and/or power systems projects (multi-disciplinary scopes).
• 5+ years budgeting, forecasting, proposals, schedules, and overall project financial performance.
• 3+ years using MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in future.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; Regular Driver per Eaton policy; motor vehicle record check at hire.
• Travel 25%
• Complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and QEW requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical upgrade projects involving substations, control systems, excitation systems, governor controls, and power distribution.
• Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Manage all phases: scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, procurement, and risk.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, contracting, performance, and budget management.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance including HAZCOM, lockout/tagout, confined space, and rigging.
• Maintain QA/QC processes and accurate project documentation (as-builts, punch lists).
• Develop and maintain project plans, progress reports, action item logs, and contingency plans.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Support multiple concurrent projects and proposal development including estimating and scoping turnkey opportunities.
