Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This technical role coordinates the Power System Planning & Study group and performs planning studies, interconnection and transient analyses for clients across North America and beyond.

You will collaborate with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, and Renewables teams to deliver high-quality studies and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters preferred.
• 5+ years in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficient in PSS/E (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability); familiarity with TARA/PSLF/DigSILENT/DSA Tools.
• Knowledge of NA grid policies (CAISO, PJM, MISO, NYISO, etc.) and interconnection criteria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complex power system study and planning projects.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses.
• Conduct planning and transient studies for standards compliance.
• Produce client reports, designs, and QA‑driven deliverables.
• Coordinate with Arcadis units for cross-selling and staffing.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
