Job summary

RESA Power, LLC. is seeking Field Techs across Power Systems Tech I–IV to inspect, test, maintain and repair high, medium and low voltage equipment at client sites in San Jose, CA.

The role requires safety-focused technicians skilled in testing, data collection, and problem solving, with on-call responsibilities and adherence to regulatory standards. Company offers full benefits, relocation assistance, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Experience with MCCs, Breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, switchgear up to 500kV class.
• Must work safely and adhere to electrical safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license if required for company vehicle positions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on low, medium and high voltage electrical systems (to 500kV).
• Test and test/repair switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, testing and repair on transformers and related equipment (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Test and inspect low/medium voltage cable installations; operate HV test equipment.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory laws and safety procedures.
