Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer with 1-4 years' experience to join the Protective Relay Settings team in a staff role. You will develop protective setpoints, work with industry standard modeling software, and generate downloadable setpoints for multiple relay platforms.

The role emphasizes growth, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to client requirements while expanding knowledge of protection schemes and P&C design concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required and 1+ year related work experience.
Solid understanding of protection and control design concepts and one- to three-line diagrams.
Experience developing protective relay settings for various equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop protective setpoints per standards and client requirements.
Use system modeling software (ASPEN/CAPE/CYME/ETAP/SKM) for analysis.
Create downloadable setpoint files on relay platforms (SEL AcSELerator Quickset, GE Enervista).
Mentor entry level professionals and coordinate with project teams.
