Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Power System Protection Engineer to join our Protective Relay Settings Team. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in Transmission/Distribution or Power Generation with strong P&C expertise and relay settings development.

You will work with ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM, and develop files for SEL/GE platforms while mentoring teammates and contributing to project success. Hybrid/work flexibility offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
5+ years in Transmission/Distribution/Power Generation.
Experience with Protection & Control design concepts and relay settings.

Responsibilities

Develop protective setpoints per industry standards and client requirements.
Work with system modeling software (ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM).
Develop setpoint files on relay platforms (SEL, GE).
Lead design guidance and coordinate with project teams.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in QA/QC.
