Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Services & Systems team seeks an Early Career Engineer to program PLCs, develop control schemes, and assist with startup and commissioning of power distribution systems. You will gain training across instructor-led, virtual, and on-the-job formats while mentored by experienced colleagues.

Role offers a defined training curriculum and exposure to a broad customer base, with opportunities across multiple service branches and regional assignments in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution with graduation date before Aug 2027.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 overall.
• Internship/co-op or 3 months experience in technician/maintenance role.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
• Write and deploy complex power transfer and other control schemes (Main-Tie-Main, load shedding, breaker control, SCADA development, generator control).
• Validate that system has proper controls, metering, and monitoring per drawing package.
• Support customer-facing system startup and commissioning efforts.
