Job summary

Eaton is seeking an entry‑level Field Service Engineer to support electrical power distribution systems across diverse customer sites in the United States. You will gain hands‑on experience solving real power challenges while rotating through various environments.

The program provides structured training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to technical and leadership growth, with a company vehicle, tools, and ongoing tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution with graduation date before August of 2027.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of one internship/co-op or 3 months of experience in technician/maintenance role with machines or large equipment.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or related visa programs.
• Must be willing to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments including design, testing, or process studies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, and Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
