Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join a project team and assist in civil and structural design tasks under close supervision. You will help prepare design documents and drawings, and perform basic analyses in line with established standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required or in progress, power focus preferred.
• Basic knowledge of steel and concrete design and structural analysis will help.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for a project-team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings under supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as wind load calculations and structural analysis with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and training in substation construction and design.
