Job summary

Port Townsend Paper Corporation seeks an Assistant Power & Recovery Superintendent to support the Power and Recovery Department under the Power & Recovery Manager. Responsibilities include maintenance coordination, process optimization, scheduling, and safety and environmental compliance for critical boiler and recovery systems.

The role requires knowledge of steam/electrical generation, chemical recovery, and wastewater treatment, with a preference for a degree in pulp and paper science or

Qualifications

Degree in pulp and paper science or chemical engineering preferred.
Operating experience considered.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 4 site is desired.

Responsibilities

Coordinate maintenance activities for Power & Recovery equipment.
Assist with process optimization and scheduling.
Support training and discipline of employees within the department.
Maintain budgets, action plans and goals for mill demands.
Ensure environmental compliance and safety in Power & Recovery operations.
Support power contracts negotiations and troubleshooting production issues.
