Job summary
Georgia-Pacific's Containerboard mill in Brewton, AL is seeking a Process Engineer (Power and Recovery) to provide technical support and test and advance processes. You will work with operators, management and peers to improve efficiency and lower operating costs, reporting to the Utilities Production Area Leader.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Pulp & Paper Technology or 3+ years in lab testing and energy balances for manufacturing.
- Experience with Excel, Word and data analysis tools is required.
- Knowledge of energy balances and process data is essential.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate safety and environmental excellence through hazard identification and risk mitigation.
- Develop sustainable processes with mentoring and employee development.
- Provide technical support for lab testing, analysis and energy balances of the area.
- Lead troubleshooting and problem solving to achieve productivity and cost goals.
- Promote automation and programming for safe, reliable operation.
- Plan for scheduled shutdowns, operator training, maintenance or capital projects.
- Support 5-year planning with data for operator care and capital projects.
