Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking a Power & Recovery Superintendent to lead the department's operations, safety and continuous improvement. You will drive quality, productivity and cost effectiveness while guiding capital initiatives and budgeting.

The role emphasizes people development, strong safety culture and stakeholder collaboration. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in Power/Recovery, with Lean/Six Sigma experience, strong leadership and regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering preferred and/or 5-10 years of Power/Recovery Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and safety programs.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and capital project input.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety systems and processes to support annual improvement goals.
• Drive environmental management to ensure compliance and stewardship.
• Maintain high quality and service while pursuing innovation for customers.
• Develop and manage operating budgets and control costs.
• Analyze processes to improve efficiency with available tools and resources.
• Provide input to capital projects from inception through completion.
• Support strategic planning and people development initiatives.
• Foster positive labor relations in line with WestRock culture.
