Job summary

Siemens is launching the Power Protection & Automation Field Technician Development Program (PPA FTDP) beginning January 19th, 2027. The one-year, full-time program is designed for recent graduates to support testing and commissioning of power protection and automation systems.

You will rotate through field service across the United States, receive technical training, mentorship, and hands-on experience with protection relays, automation systems, and networking, while traveling extensively.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and commissioning of power protection and automation systems.
• Perform switchgear testing and relay verification.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams; document test results and issues.
• Gain hands-on experience with SIPROTEC relays and related tools.
