Job summary

Siemens in the United States offers a one-year, full-time Field Technician Development Program (PPA FTDP) for recent technical graduates. Training occurs in Wendell, NC with rotations across the United States to support power protection and automation projects.

You will work with experienced Siemens technicians, gain hands-on experience, and grow in areas such as relay testing, protection systems, and field safety. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 40 weeks per year to customer sites across the United States.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Passion for hands-on technical work and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and commissioning of power protection and automation systems.
• Perform switchgear testing and protection system verification.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Document test results and communicate technical issues to engineering teams.
