Siemens invites recent graduates to join the Power Protection & Automation Field Technician Development Program (PPA FTDP), a full-time, one-year training path focused on testing, commissioning, and field service support for power protection systems.
Participants gain hands-on experience with SIPROTEC relays, testing equipment, and industrial networks, with regional placements across the US, mentorship, and structured rotations, plus travel up to 40 weeks per year.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to travel extensively, up to 40 weeks per year, including Monday–Friday travel to customer sites across the United States and occasional Sunday travel.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Supporting factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Gaining hands-on experience with SIPROTEC relays, DIGSI 5, Omicron test equipment, and SICAM A8000.
