Job summary

Siemens in the United States offers a one-year, full-time Field Technician Development Program (PPA FTDP) for recent associate degree graduates. The program covers testing and commissioning of power protection and automation systems, with rotations across multiple regions.

You'll gain hands-on training, mentorship, and real project exposure, including factory acceptance testing, relay testing, and field service deployments, while traveling nationwide up to 40 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Passion for hands-on technical work and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a continual basis.

Responsibilities

• Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Perform switchgear functional testing, relay injection testing, and protection system verification.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Document test results and communicate issues to engineering and project teams.
• Follow Siemens and customer safety, quality, and site requirements.
