Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Utility Operator to support boiler and plant systems under supervision. You will operate and inspect plant equipment, read meters, and ensure safe, efficient operations according to procedures.

This role involves handling air compressors, pumps, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment, plus water treatment sampling and monitoring air pollution controls. Overtime and rotating shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Three or more months related experience and/or training.
• Mechanical skills for shear pins, valve repacking, and inspections.
• Knowledge to operate plant auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, dryers, and pumps.
• Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operations of assigned equipment per procedures.
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, and valves.
• Read and interpret meter data to identify malfunctions or abnormal conditions.
• Handle sampling and water treatment tasks as assigned.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Operate mobile equipment such as Bobcat, steer loader, and forklift.
• Assist with refuse crane operations and fuel handling.
• Work overtime during maintenance windows.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
