Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to work with the facility control room, operating and inspecting power plant systems to ensure safe and efficient disposal processes.

Responsibilities include monitoring boilers and auxiliary equipment, reading data, sampling and water treatment, and safely operating heavy equipment. Shift is rotating 12 hours days/nights with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience operating boiler or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with chemistry testing is a plus.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures (boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment).
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, electrical devices).
• Read meters, gauges and data to identify trends or disruptions affecting operations.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform sampling, chemistry testing and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel and ensure appropriate refuse mix in pits and areas.
• Additional duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.
