Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to work with the facility control room, safely operating and inspecting power plant systems to ensure efficient disposal processes. The role requires handling heavy industrial equipment and monitoring multiple subsystems in a rotating shift.

You will read data from meters and gauges, perform sampling and water treatment tasks as needed, and operate cranes, skid steers, and forklifts. Competitive benefits apply, including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety procedures.
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, etc.).
• Read meters, gauges and instruments to identify trends or disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform sampling, chemistry testing and water treatment as required.
• Operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and appropriate refuse mix in designated pits.
