Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electrical generation required
• Knowledge of steam generating power stations and instrument/control systems
• Ability to originate and monitor plant procedures and technical instructions
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills essential
• HS Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
• Operate and maintain plant within environmental limits and permits
• Respond to injuries or accidents and coordinate emergency response
• Direct completion of shift, daily, weekly and monthly checks
• Approve requests to remove equipment from service and issue safety permits as per procedures
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance for optimal performance
• Train and manage a workforce that is skilled, flexible and cross-trained
