Job summary

Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead Operator for SHCC Operations in Spring Hill, FL. This role oversees 12-hour shifts, coordinates with contractors, and ensures safe, reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ten (10) years of experience in power plant operations, including five (5) years as a Control Room Operator.
• Combined experience in maintenance crafts and operation of combustion and steam turbines preferred.
• Previous experience in operation of a Combined Cycle Power Plant required.

Responsibilities

• Leads Operations Technicians in safe, effective and efficient plant operation and maintenance.
• Oversees daily work of Seminole and contractor personnel during and after normal hours.
• Leads and oversees a 12-hour rotating shift for the assigned team.
• Develops operational procedures for approval by Operations Supervisor.
• Communicates plant status to supervisors and site management.
