Job summary

Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Spring Hill, FL, is seeking a Senior Engineer - I&C to lead electrical and instrumentation & control engineering for the SHCCF. You will work independently on complex problems and develop technical specifications, supporting outages and plant upgrades.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET‑accredited), 8 years in large power plants, DCS knowledge, and familiarity with NERC standards. Florida PE or advanced degree may substitute for one year.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Advanced degree in engineering is preferred.
• Eight years of experience in large power plants dealing with electrical and I&C systems.
• Knowledge of DCS and familiarity with NERC standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop and implement engineering analysis and programs.
• Identifies and resolves plant equipment and system problems.
• Develops design changes and pricing documents for projects.
• Coordinates with Operations and Maintenance on plant issues and improvements.
• Supports outages and off-hours work as needed.
• Ensures safe, reliable equipment performance through monitoring plans.
• Assists DCS Administrators in troubleshooting and changes to DCS systems.
