Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the safe, compliant operation of a heavy industrial power-generation and resource-recovery facility during an assigned shift. You will supervise plant personnel and oversee boilers, turbines, steam-generation systems, and related equipment to maintain reliable power generation.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will conduct plant rounds, coordinate maintenance, enforce safety procedures and environmental permits, and develop a cross-trained

Qualifications

• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of steam-generation power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
• Supervise operation of high-pressure boilers, turbines, and related systems.
• Conduct plant rounds, monitor conditions, and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Respond to injuries, accidents, equipment failures, and abnormal plant conditions.
• Direct personnel and perform operational actions to restore safe operation when needed.
• Enforce safety permits, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental permits.
• Lead shift-related inspections, housekeeping, and scheduling.
• Develop a cross-trained workforce and mentor shift personnel.
