Job summary

Vistra in Morrisville, PA, is hiring an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain a 1200 MW combined cycle plant using GE 7FA turbines and GE D11 steam turbines. The role covers tuning, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include PM inspections, record keeping, and responding to trips and outages, with on-site work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
4-6 years' experience in industrial environment.
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment.
Knowledge of high voltage switching/relaying equipment.
Experience with electrical/mechanical repair and PM inspections.
Understanding of Instrumentation calibrations.
Must be able to pass POSS/MASS program.
Ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant I&E systems with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation, control, electrical, and mechanical issues.
Inspect and repair motors, transformers, switches, breakers up to 4160 V.
Tune boiler and turbine controls for safe operation.
Maintain records of maintenance history.
Maintain CEMS per regulatory guidelines.
Respond to unit trips and outages; standby for call-outs.
Coordinate parts procurement with vendors.
