Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Morrisville, PA is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of a 1200 MW combined cycle facility. This role covers maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and control systems up to 4160 volts, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The technician will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems, calibrate boiler and turbine controls, maintain records, and support plant operations

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with industrial electrical equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• 4-6 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of proper procedures to clean electrical motors and make electrical connections.
• General knowledge of high voltage switching and relaying equipment.
• Experience with instrumentation calibrations and machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, breakers, MCCs and cabling up to 4160 volts.
• Tune and calibrate boiler and turbine controls for safe optimum performance.
• Maintain and calibrate all plant instrumentation for reliable operation.
• Document maintenance history and ensure CEMS compliance.
• Respond to unit trips and abnormal conditions to keep plant safe.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and support as needed.
