Job summary

Kleen Energy Systems in Middletown, CT, is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E) Technician to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. The role supports Siemens turbines, DCS, PLC, SCADA, and related systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent in a technical field, hands-on industrial experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• Experience in combined-cycle power generation or similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and turbine/boiler control systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot control-system issues.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and install plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform maintenance on electrical equipment including MV switchgear, MCCs, motors, transformers.
• Maintain and optimize DCS, PLC, SCADA and automation systems.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot Siemens SGT6-PAC 5000F turbine and SST6-PAC5000 steam turbine systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, outages, and capital projects with coordination.
• Analyze performance and identify improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records, drawings, and vendor information.
