Job summary

Vistra operates a power generation facility in Monahans, Texas, seeking a Plant Operator/Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of GE gas turbine technology. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot alarms, calibrate instrumentation, and maintain CEMS while complying with safety standards.

The role requires working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and control systems, with experience in rotating equipment and field instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant equipment maintenance and instrumentation.
• Ability to work in shifts including weekends.
• Knowledge of safety/environment rules for power generation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plant instrument and control system issues.
• Inspect and repair motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment up to 4160 volts.
• Maintain records of maintenance history and ensure CEMS compliance.
