Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Technician at Major Oak Power Station in Robertson County near Bremond, Texas. You will calibrate instruments, maintain PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, and troubleshoot control hardware to support safe, reliable plant operations.

Work includes collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors; a 4-on-10 schedule; and safety-driven practices across emissions controls and boiler systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent training considered.
• Experience in power generation or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of instrumentation devices: transmitters, sensors, analyzers, valves, actuators.
• Able to install, calibrate, test, maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA and boiler controls.
• Ability to interpret diagrams (P&IDs, loop diagrams).

Responsibilities

• Calibrate transmitters, sensors, analyzers, valves, actuators.
• Maintain PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot ICS for boiler, turbine, protection.
• Monitor emissions control instrumentation.
• Provide limited electrical troubleshooting of I&C circuits.
• Assist with installations, outages, and commissioning.
• Evaluate performance and alarms; identify problems.
• Document maintenance with work orders and tests.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements.
