Job summary

Camstex is hiring an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician in Maryland to maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment across plant systems. The role requires interpreting complex diagrams and performing calibration, testing, and tuning tasks on high-voltage equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2-5+ years in a power plant setting, familiarity with test instruments, and strong multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

2-5+ years related experience in a power plant environment or relevant military experience.
Familiar with test equipment and precision instruments used to identify problems.
Completion of technical training in electrical or instrumentation.
Specific power plant experience required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
Perform power plant maintenance including troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and tuning of instrumentation and electrical systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot 480V through 4160V systems including motors, transformers, and switchgear.
Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation including pressure, flow, and level transmitters.
Assist in developing and maintaining a calibration program for plant equipment.
