Job summary

The Electrical/Instrumentation Technician role in Waldorf, MD maintains and repairs electrical and instrumentation equipment at the facility. You will interpret diagrams, troubleshoot HV systems, calibrate instruments, and participate in safety programs to ensure reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in a power plant environment or relevant military experience.
• Familiar with test equipment and precision instruments.
• Technical training in electrical or instrumentation completed.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot 480V–4160V electrical systems, motors, transformers.
• Troubleshoot 24VDC–125VDC control systems and relays.
• Calibrate field instrumentation: pressure, flow, differential pressure, level.
• Develop and maintain calibration programs for plant equipment.
• Respond to outages and support reliable operations.
• Maintain manuals, prints, and preventive maintenance records.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance.
