Job summary

Sprague Operating Resources LLC is hiring a Control Room Operator for the Springfield, NH location. You will lead daily plant operations, monitor process variables, and coordinate with maintenance and management to ensure safe, reliable power generation.

Responsibilities include operating PLC-based controls, documenting conditions, and applying proper safety procedures in a high-temperature, high-humidity plant environment. Training and a structured shift schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• Power plant operations and/or maintenance experience required.
• Must have basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Good verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be a cooperative team member and work with minimal supervision.
• Must understand safety practices for power plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, operate, shut down and secure equipment from the control room or field.
• Troubleshoot and assist maintenance with preventive and reactive tasks.
• Follow lockout-tagout procedures and verify zero energy states.
• Complete plant rounds and inspections of equipment for malfunctions.
• Maintain logs and records of operating conditions and anomalies.
• Perform water chemistry testing and chemical dosing within limits.
