Job summary

Sprague Resources in Springfield, NH seeks a Control Room Operator to lead daily plant operations and ensure safe, efficient performance. You will monitor process variables, operate PLC systems, and coordinate with maintenance and management to resolve issues.

The role requires strong safety awareness and effective communication with the plant team. A DuPont-style 12-hour shift rotation (36/48 hours weekly) is employed.

Qualifications

• Power plant operations and/or maintenance experience is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Good verbal communications skills are essential.
• Must be cooperative with those he/she contacts and can work without direct supervision.
• Must know hazards involved and the safety precautions to be practiced in power plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, operate, shut down and secure equipment from control room or field.
• Troubleshoot and assist maintenance activities.
• Perform lockout-tagout, de-energization and zero energy verification.
• Ensure plant rounds and inspections are completed.
• Maintain logs and record operating conditions.
• Oversee water chemistry testing and dosing within limits.
