Job summary

Sprague Resources GP LLC is seeking a Boiler Operator in Tamworth, NH. The role covers daily plant operations, monitoring, and documentation of boiler processes.

It requires interpreting controls, maintaining safety, and coordinating with teams to ensure reliable power generation at our biomass facilities. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1–2 years’ mechanical or power-plant experience, plus PLC familiarity, good communication, and basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical education or 1-2 years’ experience at a power plant or mechanical role.
• Familiarity with PLC-based controls is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and basic math skills.
• Good verbal communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-conscious environment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, shut down and secure equipment in normal and emergency conditions.
• Train in ARC flash protection and OSHA electrical safety.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Record plant logs and inspect facility machinery for faults.
• Monitor process variables and respond to deviations.
• Supervise contractors and coordinate work at the facility.
