Sprague Operating Resources LLC is hiring a Boiler Operator for the Tamworth, NH location. You will operate and monitor biomass plant equipment, maintain logs, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and reliable power generation.

The role requires PLC familiarity, basic math, and strong safety awareness. The position emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and capability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical education or 1-2 years experience at a power plant, millwright, or mechanical role preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC-based controls is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills needed.
• Good verbal communication and ability to use power and precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and document plant processes and field instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic mechanical tasks.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operator for support.
• Maintain logs of operating conditions and report irregularities.
• Ensure safety practices and respond to plant emergencies as needed.
