Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Power Market Sector Leader to manage client relationships, lead business development, and oversee multi-disciplinary power projects in California. US citizenship or green card required by contract terms.

Responsibilities include pursuing opportunities, directing large projects, and promoting HDR services with senior leadership. Preferred candidates have a engineering background, 10+ years of experience, PMP and strong industry involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience building and managing broad client relationships and program/pursuit activities.
• Experience with staff development, recruiting and career growth.
• Active involvement in industry associations and a visible market sector profile.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple senior leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and serve as client and project manager for future pursuits with key clients.
• Identify and develop project opportunities, act as pursuit champion, and support HDR pursuits.
• Plan, direct, and monitor large multi-disciplinary projects with high technical complexity.
• Assess markets and determine strategies to win and secure contracts.
• Drive business development across sectors and with other groups.
• Promote HDR services to clients in coordination with client managers.
• Collaborate with Market Sector Directors on area initiatives and staffing.
• Lead client development activities and pursue opportunities with proven capture techniques.
• Support pursuits through client relationship development and strategy participation.
