Job summary

HDR, Inc. in the United States seeks a Power Market Sector Leader to guide growth of HDR’s Power program across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Delaware.

This role combines leadership, market development and technical oversight to expand services from design to advisory and owner’s engineering. You’ll work with regional leaders, recruit and develop talent, and build client relationships with utilities, cooperatives and developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
• Experience managing client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
• Experience with staff development and recruiting.
• Active involvement with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector.
• Ability to work cooperatively with Regional Market Sector Directors, Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers and Area Managers.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Grow HDR’s Power services portfolio in PA, OH, WV, and DE.
• Develop opportunities to provide design, consulting, advisory, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning.
• Establish external teaming relationships with industry counterparts and represent HDR in industry associations.
• Provide leadership and project management to ensure staff and quality in work; serve as Principal-in-Charge or Project Manager.
• Coordinate with leadership to align resources and marketing efforts to deliver for clients.
• Drive client growth through staff hiring and business development and marketing plans.
• Coordinate with operations and managers to support work sharing.
• Lead and motivate staff to meet growth goals.
