United Rentals is seeking a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance operation within the Power/HVAC Division. You will hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates while maintaining and repairing diverse rental equipment to ensure safe operation and readiness for rental.

You will collaborate with the Branch Manager, drive profitability, champion safety, and manage shop expenses while delivering top-tier customer service and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operations and shop management experience with background in repairing and maintaining the equipment stated above.
• Advanced knowledge of heavy equipment, the manufacturers' warranty process, and the work order / time spent accounting process.
• Experience on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems that enables independent assessment and diagnosis.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Supervise preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment in the Power/HVAC fleet.
• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Supervise service technicians and enforce safety policies at all times.
• Build strong customer relationships through high quality, timely service.
• Apply United Rentals policies to maximize productivity while maintaining safety.
• Manage shop operating expenses.
• Lead, plan, measure and continuously improve service and maintenance metrics.
• Meet regularly with Branch Managers to discuss problems and solutions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
