Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Manager in Denton, TX. You will lead a major maintenance enterprise within the Power/HVAC Division, hiring and motivating a team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates to keep a diverse fleet ready for rental.

You’ll drive safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while managing expenses and collaborating with Branch Leadership to grow a profitable location.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operations and shop management experience with background in repairing and maintaining the equipment stated above.
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of equipment.
• Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time and quality standards.
• Supervise Service Technicians, ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Build strong customer relationships through high quality and timely service.
• Manage shop operating expenses and lead continuous improvement of service metrics.
• Meet regularly with Branch Managers and report problems and solutions.
