Job summary

United Rentals in Denton, TX seeks a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance enterprise within the Power/HVAC Division. You will hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates, supervise preventative maintenance and repairs, and ensure safe operation and readiness for rental.

You will work with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location through leadership, service and strong business management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operations and shop management experience with repair/maintenance background.
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment including generators, chillers, A/C units, desiccant dehumidifiers and more.
• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards and follow repair processes.
• Supervise Service Technicians ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Build strong customer relationships through high quality and timely service.
• Manage shop expenses and lead continuous improvement of service metrics.
• Lead meetings with Branch Managers to address problems and discuss solutions.
