Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Power/HVAC division in Manassas, VA. You will be the main contact for customers, selling specialty power supply and climate control solutions like silenced diesel generators and air-conditioning equipment.

The role emphasizes building relationships, prospecting new accounts, and delivering expert consultations, with a base salary plus commissions. A strong track record in sales and knowledge of related equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience and a proven sales record will be considered.
• Strong negotiation, selling, and customer service skills; ability to present and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Increase branch revenue through quality customer service and knowledge of specialty rental products.
• Establish new rental accounts via phone and in-person visits.
• Present turnkey services and provide job site assessments and quotes.
• Collaborate with technical staff for equipment sizing and solutions; follow through on orders.
