Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division to be the primary contact for customers, renting and selling specialty engineered power and climate control solutions. You will build relationships, present turnkey services, and partner with technical staff for site assessments and quotes.

The role emphasizes outbound calling, in-person visits, and ongoing customer education, with base salary plus monthly commissions and onboarding guarantees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience will be considered.
• High intellectual abilities to sell complex products and customer solutions.
• Equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and understanding of specialty engineered rental products.
• Establish new rental accounts through phone calls and in-person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to potential customers.
• Provide customers with job site assessments, solutions, and quotes with professional follow-up.
