Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew with installing, repairing, and maintaining lines, poles, insulators, and related hardware under the direction of a Foreman.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, long-distance travel on short notice, and readiness to work outside standard hours, including emergencies. A valid driver's license is required with CDL within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages, storms or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required; inspect PPE and understand when to wear it.
• Perform rigorous physical labor as part of daily duties.
