Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will join a team reporting to the Foreman and perform essential field labor in outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and willingness to travel and work out of hours. Training and on-site duties align with utility infrastructure projects and crew support.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Extended hours including weekends, holidays, emergencies.
• Physically fit for demanding labor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Help install/repair lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and weather.
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
