Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale power generation projects as owner’s engineer or advisor. The role involves selling and doing, managing multi-discipline teams, and maintaining client relationships from pre-positioning to project completion.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts within a national power generation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 10 years related experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
• Ability to interact with design teams and strong organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with contract terms review.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
• Coordinate with the client to align deliverables and expectations.
• Monitor budget and schedule; create recovery plans as needed.
• Routinely report progress to accounting and operations teams.
• Guide design or consulting work in engineering discipline.
