Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Texas seeks a General Superintendent – Power to lead field operations on large natural gas and thermal power projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across all phases. This role requires deep power-generation knowledge and a proven ability to manage complex field activities.

You will develop plans, coordinate subcontractors, mentor field teams, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with commissioning, engineering, and owners to achieve performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering is required.
• Proven experience leading large power-generation construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety, QA/QC, and project controls.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and heavy equipment installs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for natural gas and thermal power projects to meet safety, schedule and budget goals.
• Develop project plans, sequence activities and coordinate with engineering, commissioning and owners.
• Manage subcontractors, material procurement and field labor to optimize productivity.
• Mentor field teams and promote a culture of safety, quality and collaboration.
• Interface with OEMs and design partners to resolve field issues and ensure warranty compliance.
• Support project closeouts and turnover packages with thorough documentation.
