Job summary
Connect Staffing seeks an experienced Shop Foreman with a strong background in power generation and industrial equipment. This hands-on leadership role requires diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, mentoring technicians, and coordinating shop operations.
As a working foreman, you will diagnose diesel and natural gas generators, train staff, supervise daily workflows, and ensure safety and quality standards are met while maintaining thorough documentation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in power generation or industrial maintenance.
- Experience with generator brands (Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, MTU, Detroit Diesel, MQ or similar).
- Generator controls experience.
- Diesel and natural gas engine experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
- Previous Foreman or Lead Technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel and natural gas generators.
- Perform inspections, rebuilds, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor technicians.
- Coordinate daily shop workflow.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Complete work orders and documentation.
- Perform load bank testing.
- Troubleshoot generator controls and electrical systems.
