Job summary

Power Plus, a leader in power solutions, is seeking a Generator Shop Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain portable generators. This role includes troubleshooting the generator fleet, ordering parts, and assisting field operations when needed.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of diesel engines and possibly generator experience. The position offers a competitive compensation range of $80,080 - $102,960 and various benefits like medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of diesel engines.
• Generator experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift and drive a company vehicle.
• Must have mechanical background and be physically able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain portable generators.
• Troubleshoot and make repairs to generator fleet.
• Work with operations manager to prioritize repairs.
• Order parts for repairs as needed.
• Assist field operations when needed.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of diesel engines

Generator experience

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

Working knowledge of Isuzu, Cat, Cummins, Doosan, MQ, MMD, Volvo and John Deere engines

Mechanical background

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Tools

Computer and related software for troubleshooting
