Kiewit Power Engineering is hiring a Mid-Level Structural Designer to grow standards and tools while contributing to project success. You will work with Structural Design Engineers, using Tekla and BIM to produce models, plans, and details.

The role involves mentoring teammates and collaborating across disciplines to ensure safe, efficient design outcomes. Based in Lenexa, KS or other offices, this position offers broad exposure to power projects and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualificações

• Minimum of a 2-year technical school degree related to Computer Aided Design and at least 4 years of structural design experience.
• Experience with BIM preferred.
• Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
• Demonstrates leadership and confidence to monitor peers, especially those with less experience.
• Basic knowledge of current operating systems; solid communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information.
• Check design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements.
• Report task progress to Lead Designer.
• Develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures with engineers and multiple disciplines.
• Leverage BIM to create plans, drawings, and details.
• Help develop department standards and tools.
• Mentor other team members in design and modeling techniques.
• Resolve design issues with input from responsible engineer.
