Qualifications

• Two-year CAD-related technical degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of structural design experience.
• Experience or coursework in BIM.
• Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor peers.
• Communicate effectively with team members and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design group to review and exchange project information.
• Check design for safety, operability and maintenance before checking.
• Report task progress to Lead Designer.
• Develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
• Leverage BIM to create plans, drawings and details.
• Assist in developing department standards and tools.
• Mentor other team members in design techniques.
• Resolve design issues with input from responsible engineer.
