Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an Power Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering medium-voltage VSD systems for demanding industrial applications. You will drive project execution, mentor engineers, and ensure engineering rigor across software and hardware, including HIL validation and field support.

The role emphasizes people leadership, capability growth, and collaboration with global R&D centers, while delivering on-time, on-budget projects in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Controls, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in variable speed drives, power quality, electrical grid stability, STATCOM or motor control.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded Software and RTOS-based controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead project and portfolio execution across Sales, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Commissioning teams.
• Provide engineering leadership for design reviews and system validation with RT-LAB and HIL environments.
• Coach and mentor engineers, manage hiring, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Support customer-facing technical escalations and travel to industrial sites as needed.
